THE UKRAINE EFFECT

THOMAS MATHEW JOYS, Las Vegas

The invasion has physically commenced faraway in Ukraine; The pain began in the back of poor Americans and on many others around the world. Russia is unilateral on the attack phase on Ukraine. Within 14 hours of the occupation, major cities, nuclear facilities, and airports were under Russian control.

Needless to say, 54%of Americans surveyed do not know where in the world Ukraine is! Some dared to say, “This is none of our business .” The American people have no interest or time for war. America is always under the threat of evil forces.

The American people have no interest or time for war various evil forces. While the fierce war against the terrorists has been going on for years, now we are fighting against a massive attack that has appeared in the form of Covid and its variants. At the same time, soaring gas prices and inflation are already tormenting ordinary people all around.

We all know the basic economics that when the price of crude oil rises, the cost of travel, transportation, and transportation rises sharply, and so does the price of everything from consumer goods.Remember, in 2008, when oil reached $ 147 a barrel years ago, the price of petrol rose to $ 4.10 a gallon, but oil prices fell within days. Today everything has changed tremendously, and the impacts would be longstanding.

Now again, what is the sole reason for this increase in prices? No doubt, Crude oil prices have risen sharply globally.

We woke up only when Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba announced that the “complete occupation of Ukraine has begun.” At the same time, Putin says Russia is only protecting citizens of eastern Ukraine after the United States ignored Russia’s request to prevent Ukraine from entering NATO.

The world is astonished and asking, “Has Joe Biden lost confidence in promising to restore American self-esteem? Is President Biden’s presidency now dampening world expectations? When Russia’s missiles flew over Ukraine, tAre your hands tied ?. As the war rages on Biden and the US government are embroiled in controversy.. 55% are disappointed with Biden’s action … “(Malayalam Manorama February 25).

One thing is clear, Russia’s armaments, which can burn everything in seconds, are frightening not only Ukraine but the whole world. Thanks in particular to Biden for freeing the people of the world from the threat of World War III, without frying the wings of the United States, Britain, France, Japan, or Australia having shown the courage to jump directly into this fire of Russia set up now. But globally, the repercussions were felt by the people. We have read that the great nations have thrown up Sanctions against Russia as their rigorous weapon of mass control.

By sanctions will, this invasion can be stopped soon?.

The missile may be a fast weapon, but sanctions against Russia will trigger down more attacks very slowly. Cyber attacks and limiting social media also have slower impacts but cannot be underestimated.

The sanctions and social media restrictions will limit Russia’s ability to do business in dollars, euros, pounds, and yen to restrict its ability to be part of the global economy. The United States will stagnate its ability to finance and grow the Russian military. Biden claims that this will hamper Russia’s ability to compete in today’s high-tech economy.

In a White House announcement, President Joe Biden lifted the current sanctions against Russia and announced new ones. President Biden said the sanctions were intended to reduce the pain experienced by American consumers and to maximize the long-term pain inflicted on Russia.

With crude oil prices soaring, a gallon of gasoline could reach $ 4.00 a gallon nationally in the next two weeks, according to gas body analyst Patrick de Hahn, who may be just the tip of the iceberg. According to the AAA, the current national average is about $ 3.54. But even more worrying is the fact that in some states, for example, at some gas stations in Las Vegas, the current price is $ 4.41. In addition, an energy market analyst predicts that as the Russia-Ukraine conflict escalates, climate warming and more Americans hit the road, demand will increase to $ 7 a gallon.

Even after four days of attacks in all Ukraine cities by Russia, there seems no silver line on the horizon. On the contrary, Russia is threatened with atomic weapons, and the siege will continue till everything is under Russian control or Ukraine shows its white flag of surrender. My only doubt is whether NATO will open its mouth only after the worst happens!
